Are you stressed out?

Eat for the health of it.

When you are stressed out, it sends all kinds of messages through your body and can cause all sorts of problems. It can wreck your health. When you are stressed have you noticed that your heart rate goes up? Your muscles tense up. Your breathing quickens. Your muscles tighten up. Maybe it's bumper to bumper traffic or you get in a near accident. These only last for awhile and then they go away, but what if you are in a relationship where you are under everyday stress? Or maybe someone at work causes trouble for you. That can weaken your immune system and cause all sorts of illnesses.
If you have a dog, take him for a walk. I think anytime you spend outside, even if you just sit on the porch and watch birds and butterflies, it can help with your stress. If you are young enough, running is a good stress fighter. Play cards, doodle if that's all you have the time for. Read a good book. If you are young enough you can have a little garden. Plant some veggies or a few flowers and watch them grow. I find just being outside is so relaxing. And tell yourself eveyday that you can do it. You have to think possitive. Some men like to cook when they get home from work, this is relaxing for him and it is a rest for the wife that has to cook all the time.

If you want to cook all natural, which by the way can also help with health problems (mentally and physically)by keeping the chemicals out of your food. My all natural cookbook is full of recipes that are all natural.GRANDMA'S BACK TO BASICS ALL NATURAL MORE THAN JUST A COOKBOOK ISBN#0-8059-6286-7 available at: www.dorrancepublishing.com, or phone at: 1-800-788-7654, or at: Amazonbooks.com.

Laughter is healthy: Life of the potato

A girl potato and a boy potato had eyes for each other. They got married and had a little sweet potato, which they called, "Yam."

They wanted the best for their little Yam. When it was time they told her about the facts of life.

They warned her not to go out and get half baked, so she wouldn't get accidently mashed and get a bad name like 'Hot potato,' and end up with a bunch of Tater Tots.

Yam said not to worry, no Spud would get her in the sack and make a rotton potato out of her!

But she also said she would not stay home and be a Couch Potato either.

She would get plenty of exercise so as not to be skinny like her skinny Shoestring Cousins.

When she went to Europe, Mr. and Mrs. Potato told Yam to watch out for the hard-boiled guys from Ireland, (Irish Potatoes), and the Greasy guys from France,(French Fries)and when she went West to watch out for the Indians so she didn't get scalloped.

Yam said she would stay on the straight and narrow and wouldn't associate with those high class Yukon Golds,or the ones from the other side of the tracks that advertise their trade on the trucks that say,'Frito Lay.'

Mr. and Mrs. Potato sent Yam to Idaho,P.U. (Potato University),so when she graduated she'd really be in the chips.

In spite of all they did for her, one day Yam came home and announced she was going to marry Tom Brokaw.

Tom Brokaw!

Mr. and Mrs.Potato were very upset, and told her she couldn't marry him. Are you ready for this?

OK! Here it is!
