A study is being done on patients with end stage kidney disease to be freed from being strapped to going into a clinic to have their blood cleaned. The patient is trained to administer the therapy at home. It is the same type of machine that they use in the clinic. This way the patient does not have to go to a clinic and spend hours there and then return home.

A friend of ours is doing this treatment at home. He seems to be very comportable with it.
