I am a nut(if you want to call me that)for health magazines and any information to help anyone with any type of illness. I have been helped myself, through this information they put in magazines and on the internet. I will try anything that seems sensible, but I use caution with things that sound a little quackery. If it is all natural and I know it will not hurt me, why not try it? Most of the time it really works. Some of these natural treatments people have used for many, many years and have been passed down and they are better for you then these drugs and chemicals.

Because of the chemicals in cigarettes, they are really bad for you, but when the indians smoked their peace pipes, they grew their own tobacco and they didn't add chemicals to it. I doubt if any of them died from smoking too much, nor did they die from lung cancer.

I know this may sound crazy, but they claim if a person smokes cigarettes and they also drink a lot of coffee, research has shown that it will prevent them from getting bladder cancer. And maybe other types too. I can believe that, because of the flushing of the kidneys, and coffee beans are loaded with antioxidents. I think if I were to smoke, I would choose a very fine cigar made from unadulterated tobacco. They claim a good cigar can help suppress the appetite, help you stay mentally allert, helps prevent Alzheimer's and reduces the risk of Parkinson's disease. I don't think I am ready to take up smoking in any form because it is still a stinky habit, but if you are a smoker, this may give you an incentive to roll your own but you would also have to grow your own to be chemical free. Aren't some people doing that? Maybe that's the wrong kind though. You could grow your own tobacco leaves and dry them. I can remember my grandfather rolled his own cigarettes and we used to help him, then he got a machine that rolled then, but you still had to lick the dry glue to make it sticky.

A bit more about fructose

So many studies are done on animals but really, is this a good way to see if that product is going to harm us? Xylitol will kill a dog but it seems to be okay for people.

And how about corn meal? People eat corn meal all the time; corn fritters, corn bread, mush (yuk!) Anyway, if you want to get rid of ants around your back door just sprinkle a little corn meal around and the ants will eat it and they cannot digest it and it kills them.

They have studied the effects of dietary sugar on rats, when male rats are fed a diet deficient in copper, with sucrose as it's carbohydrate, they developed severe abnormalities of vital organs.

These experiments should concern us because of the enormous use of High Fructose Corn Syrup that are in soft drinks, fruit juices, catsup, cookies and other things that children like the most. Are they trying to eliminate kids?

A chiropractor that had examined children recently, says that children are like mush because they eat so many foods that contain this High Fructose Corn Syrup which is low in copper. Yes, we need copper to form elastin and collagen.

Sugar has been in our diets for a long time and it probably never was really good for us even though it was made from natural things like sugar beets and sugar cane. Then they made it from corn and vegetables--thus fructose, dextrose,and dextrine, but I don't think that any of these are as bad as the high fructose corn syrup, because when they made the HFCS they added chemicals. It was done in a lab, using chemicals, not a processing plant where we took out sugar beets or sugar cane. The only thing there was when they started to use a bleaching agent to whiten the sugar. Why does sugar have to be pure white?

I think they are just using too many chemicals in our food.

Vegetarians and eating disorders

Eat for the health of it.

I just ran accross an article on vegetarianism. I know it's not my cup of tea, although I love vegetables; just about any vegetable, but I have to have some meat with them.

I would guess that vegetarians are trying to keep their weight down, but they are allowed to eat so many starches and they can have sweets as long as they eat vegetables. I imagine that they don't stay in your system too long. Then I think you would do some binge eating. This in turn invite unhealthy eating habits.

You should really be concerned if your teenager is going meatless. Teens may be lead to believe that it's healthy to live on veggies but teens should be watched carefully for binge eating; it could be a cry for help.

A little thought here, if you are afraid to eat table salt; try sea salt, and you can get sea salt with iodine. Your body does need salt, as a matter of fact if you don't eat salt it can lead to heart attack.

More sweet poison

I guess I am so fired up about this High Fructose Corn Syrup and how they can get away with putting it into almost everything. I keep running accross more information on it, and I just want to pass it on to who ever wants to read it. The information that I read recently is about the soft drink industry, which uses High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) as their primary sweetener for soft drinks. The estimated consumption of soft drinks in the US, per person, per year, is 41 gallons.

Teenagers and childron are among the largest consumers. Teenage boys drink, on the average of three or more cans a day. And 10% drink seven or more cans a day. A 20 ounce bottle of soda contains 0 fat, 0 protein but a whopping 67 grams of carbohydrates, mostly from the HFCS. No wonder our children are fighting obesity. They are fighting a loosing battle because it is in almost everything.

They have soda vending machines everywhere, and they have them in every shool I have ever been in. They had them when I went to school too. It's okay but they should make it mandatory that it should only have safe drinks such as water and all natural juices. Even the water faucets at the schools should be filtered water and I am sure it is. If it isn't filtered, I know that all water that comes through the lines should be chlorinated because of bacteria, but it also should be filtered because chlorine can cause cancer.

bits of this and that

Did you know that the sweetener xylitol (which is safe for people) that they use in chewing gum can kill your dog? Something that is in it is lethal to them. I have been using it for years because they put Aspartame in all the other gums, and aspartame is poison to me.

Fructose is an all natural sweetener that occurs naturally in fruits and vegetables and their juices, as well as honey. That is what gives them their sweet taste. Fructose, in crystaline form has been used for many years as a sweetener in foods and beverages.

Low carb diets are really good for you. If you follow them right you will be eating pretty much all natural. I was on it for years. What is bad if you go off of it you will gain it back as soon as you start eating starches and sugars. I found that out.

You can use Peroxide to fight germs, viruses, infection and many others. Lookit up in the Encyclopedia Britanica under Granulocytes.

Not enough vitamin-D

Do you really think the sun is bad for you? Vitamin-D plays an important part in protecting women against breast cancer and it has been proven to relieve pain in bones and loints. I know this to be true because 25 years ago, I was in a bad auto accident, I broke my back, ruptured four disks in my neck and I have a badly bulging disc in my lower back. Now, talk about pain, I have been through a lot of that, but one thing thst really makes me feel good is being in the sunshine. I do not get burnt, I use only natural oils and skin lotions.I do not use any of the sunblocks because: not only am I allergic to them but I have read many articles on sunblocks that lotions with sunblock can cause skin cancer.

I know what you are thinking; that a child needs sunblock and I suppose it won't hurt if you do not lather him/her up every time they go outside. I think the best solution is to keep the child in the shade; they don't have to be right out in the sun. Most children are outside a lot, early in the spring and they build a natural protection on their skin so they won't burn, and then as the season matures and their skin toughens and adjusts, they won't have a problem. If they are not an outside player then you may have to use a sunblock but don't over due it by lathering them every half hour. More then likely a child that does not like the outside will not play in the sun anyway. Let him play in the shade and only encourage them to go in the sun for a very short time and they will adjust to the sun slowly.

You need vitamin-D, especially when you get older and the bones get brittle, and then older people fall easily, and if they do not have enough vitamin-D to strengthen their bones, they break something and it is usually their hip.

Yes, you can get too much sun; I have seen many people that come to Florida that end up as red as the Lobster at a cookout. Mostly they are kids on spring break and they are only there for a week and they want to make sure they have a nice tan to show off when they get home, but instead they end up going home with their skin peeling off and they are all scarred from deep burns. In a case like this I would encourage using sunscreen or limiting your time in the sun; do it gradually. I have seen people lathering their child every few minutes; if he is that sensitive keep him in the shade.

When I was younger I worked in the field and I would wear a light weight shirt and I would remove it periodically and let the sun warm my skin and when it got hot I would put it back on so I wouldn't get burnt or I would get out of the sun until it cooled later in the day. Yes, I wore a sun halter under my shirt.

They say that the sun causes cancer but I don't recall anyone ever having cancer when I was a child. I remember that the doctor told my mother that she had to sit in the sun every day, because she was anemic. Even as I got older, I still did not know anyone with cancer. Maybe when I was about thirty, my father-in-law had a lip cancer, that they said was from his smoking. Then a few years later my father was diagnosed with cancer, I was devistated because I thought we would all have cancer and die. I had mixed feelings when they told him he probably contracted the cancer from the chemicals that he worked with at the water treatment plant. I felt bad because I was going to lose my dad but at the same time I wouldn't have to worry that my whole family may get it too.

To me it only shows that, if you get too much of anything, it can be bad for you. If you get too much sun, (you get burnt), too much fiber can cause bowel irritation, too much iron can be linked to diabetes, cancer and heart disease, too much soy can pump full of estrogen, which inturn can depress your thyroid. Too many carbs, like sugary and starchy foods, you will probably get fat.

Splenda is same as chlorine

When Splenda came out on the market, the big add for it was, Splenda looks like sugar-tastes like sugar, so people actually thought it was just sugar. The truth is that Splenda is not natural and does not taste like sugar. It may be as sweet as sugar but the sweetness of Splenda comes from the chlorocarbon chemical that contains three atoms of chlorine in every one of it's molecules and then they named it sucralose, to make it sound like 'sucrose' which is the precise name for table sugar. The name (sucralose) when you hear it you think 'sucrose' and that is sugar so it sounds natural, but Splenda is not natural, does not taste natural, due to the chlorinated compound. It is not natural, not safe, has not been thoroughly tested, and should have a warning label on the product container because there has been no long-term study done on this product. It gave me the same reaction as chlorine in water, because it is made with chlorine. Chlorine is used to sanitize the pipes as the water flows through them. I talked to the filtration manager at a water treatment plant and he said that they do use a lot of chemicals to clean up the water, it is necessary. (I agree with this too because if you take a look at the Raisin River and you know that's what is coming out the pipes in your drinking water faucets you know they have to use something pretty strong to clean that mess up to drink.)I told him I understood that but I also felt it was their duty to the human race to let them know about these chemicals and for their healths' sake they should put a filter system on their drinking water, and if they are sensitive to the chlorine on their skin, all of the water supply should be filtered or at least whatever touches their skin.

I hope that someday they will make it mandatory that everyone filters their water. Just think of a mother feeding her young child, food off her plate and it has chlorine and other chemicals in it. And did you ever wonder why kids get so many zits? I believe a lot of that comes from all the chemicals in our food.

The History Of Aspartame

I just ran accross this article and I have to send it on. I wrote about Aspartame before but this one seemed so much more informative. I hope everyone reads this, for your healths' sake. I can't write it all because it is 7 pages long, but I'll hit the highlights. Aspartame is a very addictive drug, I wrote before that diet soda that was sent to the soldiers, was left out in the sun and when it was heated it turned to methanol,(methanol is classified as a narcotic)You may go through withdrawal symptoms. In the artical a neurosurgeon wrote, "The taste that kills."

The phenylalanine in Aspartame can, in turn, lower saratonin that can cause manic depression, panic attacks, anxiety, mood swings, rage etc. If you know someone that may be in this position and could use help, try www.sunsentpress.com I have no idea whether it is a book or an article but if you need help please try this. The wood alchohol or methanol in aspartame converts to formaldehyde and formic acid which affects the retina of the eye and destroys the optic nerve, if caught in time sight could be returned.

Aspartame can also trigger irregular heart beat and heart medication interacts with Aspartame. Most sugar free gum has Aspartame in it and the small molecules, goes straight to the mucous membrains of the mouth and straight to the blood and then to the brain.

Even after finding that Aspartame causes seizures, behavior problems, and the effect on the fetus (Aspartame is an abortifactent.)We are guinea pigs for a deadly chemical poison.

I feel my husband was a victom of ths poison. He would drink 2 two litre bottles of soda, every day, with aspartame in it and he has had prostate cancer and esophageal cancer and the top part of his stomach. He started drinking regular soda but that has High Fructose Corn Syrup in it so now he is diabetic.

You can help to get this off the market by telling your physician and of course do not buy anything with this poison in it. Inform everyone you know too. But don't be surprised if you get a comment, I have to die from something. Dumb answer. Who wants to die a slow painful death?

Banning Flouride

I have been having allergic reactions now for several years and it seems as though anything with chemicals causes me to have a terrible reaction, but the government doesn't do a thing about taking it off the market. As soon as I have found another reaction they are already putting something else out there. I can not figure out why they want to put chemicals in our food. I can't see where it's doing any good, all I can see is that I have to figure out what they added to what food so I can quit eating it. They want to take things off the market if it is all natural. I know they won't okay Stevia, yet Stevia is all natural and I have been using it for years without any reactions. The government will not let them use it to sweeten soda but they will let them use the chemical aspartame. It just does not make sense. They say that one of the soda companies are going to make a product and sweeten it with zevia, but being it is noe called stevia, I have a feeling that it also will have a chemical added to it. They have another sweetener on the market, I noticed and it is called zuvia, but when I emailed the company,and asked if it had a chemical in it they did not answer me so I am assuming that it contains a chemical. So it is no different then the others. All the artificial sweeteners cause me some kind of reaction, like chest pain, hives, rashes etc. I am walking proof that these sweeteners are laden with some bad stuff. I often wonder if the other countries use all this artificial stuff. I read recently that Scandinavia and Europe have banned the use of Floride because they say that Flouride makes your body absorb Aluminum,I wonder if this too could be what causes alzheimers.

weight loss and dementia

On the news tonight they were talking about people that were dieting seriously and for older people that really isn't too good because as we age we need more nourishment. Extreme dieting with older people, they believe that it can cause alzheimers and dementia. I felt that for some time now because I know some women right now that are going through this, one of them is already in a nursing home and a second one is about to be admited there, and a third friend of mine, I noticed this past winter that she was having difficulty playing a card game that we have played together over the years and she just could not grasp onto this. I am so afraid that she has the start of alzheimers.

What I noticed is that each of these women have lost a lot of weight; they dieted on purpose. Two of them belonged to weight loss clubs and they were in competition to be the queen. I know the one did get the queen spot and I think the other was a runnerup. I feel that being in competition like this you might be more enticed to starve yourself or eat something with very few calories or nourishment. When you are older, I feel it is necessary to eat a more balanced food, something to give you more strength and energy. They need food to nourish the brain not take it away. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if these women actually ate then force vomitting just to keep their weight down, so they could be queen.

On the same token, chidren are committing suicide, because they are over weight. It's no wonder that they gain weight when they drink all this soda that is sweetened with High Fructose Corn Syrup. It's not only fattening but it's harmful. I have read articles that states that this HFCS causes diabetes, and it causes damage to the kidneys. Even the diet soda, with Aspartame in it, is bad because it causes all sorts of reactions like hives and rashes and it is thought to cause alzheimers and dementia, another negative for older people. And what I have read on Aspartame, it is supposed to help you lose weight but instead it causes you to crave sweets then you gain weight. The health food stores have soda that is sweetened with cane sugar and is all natural. I am sad to say that they have not allowed any all natural sweetener, like Stevia, to be used to sweeten anything yet. You can buy Stevia,in the health food store, which is an all natural calorie free sweetener. I did buy some recently in the grocery store. Be sure it is Stevia because there are others that are close to that spelling. Concentrate on using all natural ingredients to stay the healthiest.

Laughter is healthy: The power of the federal badge... A DEA Officer stops at a ranch in Montana and talks with an old rancher. He tells the rancher, "I need to inspect your ranch for illegal drugs."

The rancher says, Okay, but do not go in that field over there," as he points to the spot.
The DEA officer explodes saying, "Mister, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me." Upon reaching in his rear pocket and flashing a badge to the farmer. "See this badge? The old rancher nods politely and apologizes and goes about his chores.

A short time later, the old man hears a loud scream and sees the DEA officer running for his life, chased close behind by the ranchers prize bull. With every step, the bull is gaining ground on the officer,and it seems likely that he'll get "horned" before he reaches safety. The officer is clearly terrified.

The old rancher throws down his tools, runs to the fence and yells to the top of his lungs, "Your badge...Show him your badge."

How important are enzymes?

I never realized that enzymes were at all necessary to take, I really thought you got them in your food and unless you didn't eat much at all, it wasn't necessary. I had problems now and them with a burning sensation in my stomach. Years ago I had mentioned it to my doctor and he wrote a prescription for tagment and it was good for a while then I was reading articles on it and how good the enzymes were, and what kinds of food to eat to get these enzymes. The most common symptoms of enzyme deficiency are: Being tired, weakness, joint pain, you may have gum problems, fungus and parasites, bowel problems, hearing loss, and restless sleep. You may have tried all kinds of vitamins and herbs but have you tried enzymes? I have the enzymes to fall back on when I do not get enough veggies, especially radishes and cabbage. You really need enzymes for a lot of different reasons. They help with digest your food, helps fight off colds, and without sufficient enzymes medicines, herbs or other remedies can not work. I am trying them so I may write on this subject later.

Laughter is healthy: One morning when the husband returned from a several hour fishing trip, he decides to take a nap before emptying the boat but his wife decided that she was going to take the boat out and relax on the boat in the middle of the lake, She motors out a distence, anchors and reads her book. 50 years to admit that smoking causes cancer

It has taken them 50 years to admit that smoking is bad for you and that it causes cancer. I hope it doesn't take them 50 years to admit that the chemicals that they put in our food supply is making people sick and causes cancer and many other illnesses and they should be removed. The only thing we can do is as individuals is DO NOT BUY PRODUCTS WITH THESE CHEMICALS IN THEM. ALWAYS CHECK THE LABELS. IT'S FOR YOUR OWN GOOD. If people stop buying the food that contains the MSG, they will soon take it off the market.

MSG, Monosodium glutamate, which is processed with hydrochloric acid. (Hydrochloric acid is used to remove rust from steel). They put MSG in all kinds of food. A lot of people are allergic to this chemical but they do not realize that. They may have any or all of the symptoms like: diarrhea, headaches, hives, nervousness, buzzing and weird feelings in the head, nausia water retention, etc.

Chlorine, which is used in city water to kill the bacteria in the pipes that the water runs through to everyones house, every store, every resturant etc., which is a necessity but they should inform people that they need to install a water purifier on there drinking water, even if you are not allergic to it, because it builds up in your system. It stays in the water even if you boil it or air it out. It has to be filtered out. Allergic reactions are: Mild to severe itching that can turn to leaky leasions, hives, rash, severe chest pain from hives in the esophagus, crusting around the ears and eye lashes, etc.

Aspartame, used to sweeten many foods and drinks like soda, most diabetic foods, most presweetened drinks such as, tea, and diet desserts. Symptoms are: Headaches, itching, rashes and hives. It is believed to kill brain cells, to cause symptoms of MS, Alzheimers, memory loss, etc. I read where it is not recommended for babies because they cannot digest it.

Splenda, which is passed off as just sugar, but they do not tell you that it is processed with chlorine and carbon. It can cause chest pain from hives in the esophagus, itching and other allergic reactions for mentioned.

High Fructose Corn Syrup, Fructose by itself is a sugar that is taken from fruits and vegetables and has been used for numerous years and has been recommended for diabetics(in moderation)because it is sweeter than sugar and you can use less. Corn syrup has been squeezed from the corn and has been used for years in baby formula, when we made our own baby formula. But when they take the two (fructose and corn syrup and process them with chemicals, forming this new product, which can cause damage to the liver and the pancreas, making it a very dangerous product. Instead of helping the diabetic, it is believed to cause diabetis in many children and adults. It is also believed to cause people to become overweight, because it is more fattening then fat and it is in almost every prepared food, most candy, regular soda pop, cake mixes, store bought cookies, new age soft drinks. It is beieved that heavy use of HFCS is a causative factor in heart disease and raises the blood levels of cholesterol and triglicerides and it makes the blood cells more prone to clotting. People are being led to believe that High Fructose Corn Syrup is high in fructose, but it is not. They take fructose and corn syrup then they add the chemical, that is when it becomes bad for you.

Chemicals cause all kinds of trouble

Everything that I have written in my blogs are true; they have either happened to me or someone that I know. If these lab chemicals can cause such reactions by mixing with the natural chemicals in our systems, why couldn't they also be blamed for a multitude of happenings that go on and you wonder why these things do happen, such as rapists, sexual preditors, murderers, or children that act in such a way that they can harm themselves or others. I am sure that drinking just one can of soda with Aspartame or HFCS in it will not harm you that much but when thse people that have to drink several cans of soda a day then add that to all the processed foods that they eat, and maybe even smoke a little weed, can you imagine that they could possibly go a little crazy?

When the artificial chemicals enter our systems and mix with the all natural chemicals I am sure it can cause a lot of commotion in there and our systems can not deal with that, therefore we have all types of reactions. And if they do this a lot, it can only get worse. And you want to realize that just because you do not have an outer reaction to these chemicals, does not mean that they are not causing you some real harm internally.

Wouldn't it be great if we could get rid of all these artificial chemicals in our food supply and see how good everything would taste without it? We could probably eliminate a lot of the drugs too because we wouldn't get sick. And even the drugs we take can make us sick. Yes people do get sick from the drugs they take. Just listen to the adds on TV for certain drugs, these drugs may cause nausia, vomiting, headaches, sleeplessness etc. Well then you need another drug to get rid of the nausia, one to take care of the vomiting, and the headaches, and a sleeping pill to help you sleep. The best thing to do is stick to as much all natural food as you can and see how good you fel. It may take awhile before all the chemicals leave your system, then stick with good wholesome food.

Saccharin an older artificial sweetener

Saccharin, one of the oldest artificial sweeteners, is trying to make it's way back on the market. I can remember those little tablets and that funny bottle with that curved top that you could shake a few drops out of it. Now they say it is safe. I don't think I would try it again. I am just real happy with using Stevia. At least it works for me and I have no reactions from it. I have been using Stevia for a few years now. I use the powder and the liquid drops. The liquid is so much easier to measure because you can put a few drops in and then you remember how many you use for taste, but the packet is easier to carry with you, because the restaurants do not have it yet, but if you put too much in it will be too sweet, but it's worth it so you don't have to use the chemical ones.

Truvia is another sweetener that just came out on the market; it is made from the Stevia plant but when I emailed the company to see if they used a chemical in it, they never answered me so I am assuming that it has a chemical in it so I am not going to try it. I have looked and asked at the health food stores but they do not carry it either so that should tell you something. I don't need to try it, as long as I have the Stevia that works for me.

Sugar bleached or unbleached

One of the questions I get a lot is, "What is the difference between bleached sugar and turbinado sugar, unbleached sugar and why is unbleached sugar different shades?"
To answer what bleached is, it is exactly what it says, it is bleached with a bleaching agent similar to chlorine and it whitens it. I had the opertunity to see how the cane was grown and processed when my daughter lived in Hawaii and I went to visit her. We had the opertunity to see the fields of cane burning. After the burning process they hauled the cane stalks to the processing plant where it was washed and cooked into a syrup. After sugar cane is squeezed it is put into barrels and shipped to a processing plant where they dry it and crush it, then somewhere along the line it is washed and dried. Each time the process occurs it will lighten the sugar and at the same time it will be a bit finer then before. You have probably noticed that the turbinado or unbleached sugar is almost brown and is a course grain, then they process (wash) it again and it is a tan color. Then as they wash it again it gets even lighter but it does not get real white unless they actually bleach it. This is the bad part because they are adding a bleaching agent to the sugar, then we eat it. I happen to be allergic to this bleaching agent. I have had numerous skin reactions from it. It is similar to the bleaching agent in flour.

I also went on a bus trip and we stopped at a place where they had a working mill where they actually take the wheat and grind it into a fine powder like substance and then they put it in a container and add the bleaching agent to whiten it. It just so happened that it was at the same time I was having problems with the terrible leaking skin leasions and it was actually a blessing in disguise for me because I thought right away that this bleaching agent could be the sourse of my problems. And it was, I stayed away from anything that had a bleaching agent in it, like city water, white bread, white sugar and I always had to check the label for anything that had these bleached ingredients in it. I figured right away that if the bleach in the sugar and flour was making me itch and break out, then part of the problem could be the city water too. I was always happy that I had taken that trip and was able to figure out what was causing all of my skin problems.

I use unbleachd flour and unbleached sugar all the time and I can't tell the difference except I don't itch. I can tell the difference in the water though, because you can taste the chlorine in the city water. Some people may beg to differ about that but if they have drank that treated water all of their lives, they probably can't tell the difference.

One thing that I did learn right away, is when I made my first pitcher of lemonade, and lemon meringue pie. The unbleached sugar gave the lemonade and the lemon pie a caramel taste to it. To solve the problem there is to use Fructose, (not high fructose corn syrup but just plain fructose). Most stores now carry unbleached sugar and unbleached flour. If they don't, ask them to please get it in for you, or you can buy it at the health food store.

The kid said, "No, the guy came in to buy some tampons and for his wife, and I said, "Dude your weekend is shot, you might as well go fishing."

Eating chemicals produced in a lab

If you already read this just ignore it, I sent it before but some did not get it and I was having a little trouble getting started, anyway here it is again. It was my first real post.

Where did anyone get the idea to put chemicals in our food supply? I can understand why a person might say, "Let's eat that white thing that just came out of the chickens rear end." Maybe they saw the other chickens eating a broken egg that a hen mislaid in the chicken yard and they were curious as to whether it would be good. That's understandable, that is all natural, but when a well educated person comes up with the idea to concoct a chemical in a lab, then put it in our food supply, that's ludicrous.

How many times have you had a mysterious itch? It can occur anywhere on your body, like your feet and toes, the back of your neck, your stomach or your arms etc. Maybe it comes and goes or maybe it stays for a couple of days or more, it may leave or it can leave a scar, depending on the severity of the reaction. Sometimes it can turn into a crusty, irritating itch. You may have cramps and diarrhea after you eat. Or worse yet have you ever had hives that come and go? Or did you ever get hives on your lips or in your mouth? And more serious if they go into your throat, which could cut off your breathing. After these hives and rashes you may notice a lot of moles/warts anywhere on your body, some of them fall off in time, some dissapear in time, some will stay and grow. Have you ever had severe chest pain and your EKG and heart tests come back negative? Does your stomach burn after you eat? Maybe you have had unexplained headaches,severe burning rash in the warm areas of your body, like under your arms and breasts and groin area.You may have had itchy burning eyes or soreness behind the ears. Have you asked yourself,what was that all about? Maybe you can add to this. These all could be signs of allergic reactions. For some reason I have experienced all of these reactions and I have had test after test and all they can come up with is that I am allergic to something, then I have to go through the process of elimination to figure out what I am allertgic to. I have kept track of everything that eat and all the ingredients in that food and I have been able to find out that I am allergic to all the chemicals in our food supply, such as; MSG, Chlorine or bleaching agents in white flour, white sugar, city water and Splenda. And then there is High Fructose Corn Syrup, Aspartame, and even that Olean frying oil.

I would like to help others that have experienced these symptoms and maybe shorten their time of suffering until they find out what it is that is making them so misserable. Nutritional loss

If a person just thinks about the nutritional loss part of using chemicals instead of the safe all natural foods, doesn't it make sense to eat what God gave us to eat and not some poison that someone dreams up and cooks it in a test tube?

I see no reason to pasturize milk, all they would have to do is check the cows for illnesses and if they are ill they don't use their milk. With all the modern technoloy they have now, they could check the milk too when it comes in for bottling. I am sure it would be better for us. We had our own cows and the fresh milk was so good. Then we ate steaks that were cooked rare and we didn't have to worry about the meat, it has to be tested, are they telling us that the meat is not tested properly? Steaks and other meats have a lot of nutritional value if it isn't cremated.

I even make my own mayonaise sometimes, with the raw eggs. Mayonaise is better for you than those hydrogenated spreads that are out there. I feel that the eggs are safe now that they realized that the problem they had was nothing more than that they were washing the eggs and they did not keep. ( By washing them, it would close the little pores that is in the egg shell and also bacteria would get into the egg) I used to raise chickens and a fellow came to the house about twice a week to pick them up and he in turn boxed them and sold them. I remember him telling me, "Don't wash them." I used to clean them by sanding them with a sanding block, if they had some dried chicken doo doo on them. They were mostly clean because I kept a lot of straw in the nest. Once in a while you might find one on the floor. Another thing that is good is fresh egg nog, that stuff they sell in the store tastes like medicine, and I am sure that it has something in it. Eggs are really good for you because they are loaded with nutrients.

I use lard for baking cookies, pies and cakes, it's the best to use if you want moist cakes, chewy cookies and flaky pie crusts. I use Olive oil for frying, cooking and baking when it calls for oil.

I cannot stand to eat all that processed food that they have on the market today, some of it tastes like the cardboard box it came in. And as far as the convenience of the packaged foods, it takes just as long to read the directions as it does to just follow the recipe in the cookbook and it tastes so much better when it's fresh. And by using the fresh fruits and vegetables to make salads and side dishes and making your own dressings, is so much better. I use olive oil, unbleached sugar, unbleached flour, apple cider vinegar, real cream and sour cream, real butter and I use a lot of honey, which is one of the best nutrients you can use. I know that both parents work now a days, but we did too because when you live on a farm there is always something to do, and it's good to have little chores for the kids when they come home, like making the salad dressing. When my grandson came to stay he always wanted to mix stuff together so I let him do it and he loved it. A roast can be readied the day before and veggies can be cleaned ahead too. I always make more so I can have leftovers. Be creative and give the kids something to do when they get home.

painful reaction to HFCS

You can learn a lot by listening to people, especially kids. I overheard some boys talking and one was telling how he had consumed as many as ten cans of soda in a days time. Now if he drank diet soda, he consumed an awful lot of chemicals and if he drank a regular soda then he consumed a lot of High Fructose Corn Syrup. I am not sure which of these would actually be the worst one to drink. The chemicals in the diet soda can harm you in many ways. I have read in numerous articals that it is believed that Aspartame can cause illnesses like fibromyalgia. I had symptoms of Fibromyalgia, along with the terrible rashes that I had during the time I was using Aspartame. I didn't know at that time why my legs were hurting or why I hurt all over my body at times. Then I started reading about Aspartame and the damage it can cause, even brain damage. I recall having pains in my head and just thinking it was a type of headache, I ignored it but when I quit using Aspartame and now I don't get headaches, can that be the proof of what it can do?

Now the regular soda is sweetened with High Fructose Corn Syrup and what I have read on HFCS, it has many dangers in it's use too. From what I have read, it can kill the pancreas. With me, it just tore me up physically. I had the most awful painful burning rash under my arms, under my breasts and in my groin area, and I didn't have to eat very much of it for that to happen. I would break out from eating the catsup on my french fries and a sandwich with a little catsup on it. I would have a painful rash under my arms and breasts and trunk area, and it took four months for me to figure out what in the world would cause that to happen. I know you are probably saying, "That didn't happen to me." Maybe not and maybe it never will, but did you ever think of what it could be doing to your insides and it may not show up for months or maybe years?

I know I can't do it all, it would take a lot of people to just quit buying these products to show the makers of these slow poison drinks that we do not want them and then they would come up with a healthy drink. I don't think it was that bad when they used regular sugar or regular corn syrup to sweeten drinks and they still have some drinks on the market with regular corn syrup, NOT HFCS. They should use unbleached sugar too. They don't have to bleach sugar to make things out of it.

My husband was one of those people that drank 2- 2 litre bottles of soda every day instead of drinking water. Needless to say he has had all kinds of health issues, such as, he has had 2 hyetal hernia operations, prostate cancer surgery, esophagel cancer and stomach cancer surgery. I got after him to stop drinking that slow poison and he did but he started drinking regular and that was sweetened with High Fructose Corn Syrup so now he is diabetic.

So many people think that all they have to do is stay away from sugar; I believe that if they used regular unbleached sugar and unbleached flour regularly and sensibly and take all the chemicals out of our food supply they would wipe out a large portion of our illnesses like diabetis and cancer. A very good diet for anyone to follow is the Low Carb Diet. I have been trying to get my husband to try this diet but it's so difficult for someone to do this especially when they have never dieted in their whole life. Low Carb diet is pretty much all natural food and if you follow it closely you will feel better, look better and you will lose weight. And then your sugar should drop and stabelize. It will take will power but once you get to feeling better you will want to eat naturally. If you are not familiar with the low carb diet, it is basically eating all natural foods like: unbreaded meats, eggs, cheese, real cream, sour cream, potato skins with butter and sour cream, salad with Blue cheese dressing. You got the idea just don't eat anything with flour and sugar or processed foods.

Reactions to chemicals mixed with medication

If you stop and think about how kids act sometimes and it makes you wonder what causes them to do the things they do. Parents can't control their children and some adults act as bad as children too. If someone would just step up and say, "Take those darn chemicals out of our food supply," I'll bet there would be a sudden change in a lot of lives, mentally and physically. Even medication, which is prescribed by doctors, can cause reactions to some people and if you are taking certain medications you have to be very careful about eating different things like grapfruit and/or herbs. Your system knows what to do with all natural foods but when you start putting these chemicals in with them sometimes they just don't mix, and you have a problem and it can be very serious. I know that medications are necessary when you are very ill. And sometimes the chemicals in the food can bring on illnesses too. Everytime time a person drinka can of soda, they are adding chemicals to their system. The more you drink the more trouble you will have, especially if you are allergic to either Aspartame or High Fructose Corn Syrup. You can drink plenty of water to help it get through your system faster or you can go to the doctor and have him prescribe something OOP!! There's another chemical going inyour system. You can buy allergy pills at the health food stores but if you are going to a health food store you wouldn't be drinking that chemical laden stuff anyway.

I buy soda from the health food store that is sweetened with cane syrup, it is very good. I did notice that they sell diet soda that has Sucralose in it and I wanted to ask them why they would sell that in their store. Probably they would say that it is the only thing they have for diabetics. I will have to ask them if they know that Sucralose is the same as Splenda. I wish they would okay the sale of Stevia, which is an all natural sweetener. I have been using it for years and I do not have a bit of trouble with it. They have come out with aproduct called Truvia but when I wrote to the company and asked if there was a chemical in it, they never answered me so I take it that it must have a chemical in it. Then I found out a few days ago that they have a product that they have added to soda pop that they call Zuvia, I want to find out more about this and I will write the company to see if they do use a chemical in that also.

High Fructose Corn Syrup

And now High Fructose Corn Syrup has entered the picture. Who would think that Corn Syrup, syrup that my mother used in our baby formula to sweeten it a tad and if we were a bit constipated it would help move things along better. I used it in my babies formula too. We used Carnation or Pet evaporated milk in the can, half evaporated milk and half water and a little corn syrup. Of course that was simple, good old fashioned corn syrup. Now they have taken the corn syrup and added fructose (which is another safe sweetener, until someone got the bright idea to add some chemicals to it and processed these ingredients, making it an entirely different product and they call it High Fructose Corn Syrup. Giving us another very bad product, which I talked about earlier, and the terrible reaction I had from it. And what is really terrible is that they are putting it in everything that calls for sweetening.

I had my bout with Chlorine in the water, then Aspartame, MSG, Splenda that has Chlorine in it, Acelfame K in chewing gum, white flour and sugar that has the bleaching agent in it, now they bombard us with the High Fructose Corn Syrup. What can we do? Read labels. Stop buying anything with any of these ingredients in it.

It took me about 4 months to figure out what I was allergic to. Thinking that I had all the chemicals out of my life then I got this painful rash under my arms, breasts and groin area. I was raw,I couldn't sleep it was so painful. I went to the doctor and all she could tell me was to write everything down that I ate and the ingredients and when I did I kept seeing this High Fructose Corn Syrup. I read every label in the store before I purchased anything. I was shocked that so many things had it in. Everything that used to have sugar in it, now contained HFCS. It took awhile but after staying away from any foods that had HFCS in it, I was cleared of the itchy, painful rash. I couldn't even eat a tablespoon of catsup because that had HFCS in it. I love catsup so I have to make my own.

Have the people that add chemicals to these foods and okay them for consumption ever thought of what can happen to people who consume these chemicals? Apparently not or they just don't care because they are making money by pushing the poison. To me these chemicals are a slow poison, unless you have a severe allergic reaction and don't make it to the hospital. I have to carry two epi pens with me. I honestly believe that the chemicals are the cause of many of the illnesses today. As a child, I didn't know anyone that had cancer, diabetes or anyone that had a heart attack. The only disease that we feared was Polio. My mother cooked big meals all the time, like meat, potatoes, gravy, salad, veggies and she baked bread, cinnamon rolls, cookies, pie and cakes and we were not fat. That tells you something...Maybe these chemicals are making us fat instead of helping us lose weight.

Processed foods are not good for you.

I have learned not to eat a lot of processed foods like hotdogs, bacon, lunchmeats, sausage and ham. Oh they are good and I like them all but my stomach and immune system doesn't. I can get away with eating it one day but two days in a row and my stomach burns and I itch. I get all puffy from the water retention it causes, even my eyes get puffy. I would think about what I had eaten the day before then I knew why I was all swollen. I have about the same problem when I eat regular salt and there is a lot of salt in processed foods, especially the meats. I try very hard to limit my consumption of these foods. Although the nitrites and salt do not have as bad effect on me as did the MSG or the Aspartame. Another thing I do if I have any processed foods, I take vitamin C. You should do this after eating any processed foods or drink a glass of orange juice or anything containg salt. I use sea salt and it doesn't bother me because the regular salt has a non caking chemical in it but sea salt doesn't. Does that tell you anything?

Sweet poison - Aspartame

Another experience that I had with chemicals was when I broke out with a rash and hives on the top part of my hands and arms, every day I would have this rash and hives on my arms and the top part of my hands and then by the next morning it would be pretty cleared up except where I had scratched and it had left some scabbing. I knew I would have to find out what I was allergic to; I thought about the diet drink I had been drinking every morning then decided to read the label. It didn't take very long for me to figure out what it was when I saw that one of the ingredients was Aspartame. Aspartame is a chemical and I had heard another lady talking about being allergic to the chemical Aspartame, but I had never seen how it had reacted on her. I knew there was only one way to find out and that was to stop using it. It started to clear up immedietly but it left scars from itching and the hives stayed on, then everytime I would eat anything (by accident) that contained the Aspartame every place that had a hive before would pop up again. The tops of my hands and arms were scarred from the hives. At least I knew what was causing it.

If you haven't heard about Aspartame by now, all I can say is you should read all you can on it. They can say all they want to about the safety of this product but I for one do not believe them. I can still show them the scars that this chemical has caused. You may have read how the soldiers had left diet soda set in the sun and they were poisoned from it because heating the soda with the Aspartame in it, converts the Methanol into Formaldahyde. Formaldahyde is in the same class as cyanide and arsenic "deadly poison" it just takes a little longer to kill.

According to Snopes.com Aspartame also hides under the name of, Nutrasweet, Equal, Spoonful and has crept it's way into many food sources.People are having symptoms of MS, fibromyalgia symptoms, spasms, shooting pains, leg cramps, vertigo, dizziness, headaches, tinnitis, depression, blurred vision, anxiety attacks, it can cause all types of neurological problems, and there is no reason to use this product. It is not a diet product. Instead it makes you crave carbohydrates.

Instead of Aspartame being good for diabetics, it is really harmful to them. I realized this when my husband, who is diabetic, consumes it and his sugar is out of control. I am trying to get him to forget these chemical sweeteners and go on a low carb diet and using Stevia as a SAFE no calorie sweetener. I have been using Stevia for years and I have not had any reactions from it.

A friend who has a young teenage daughter was having problems with a rash and I asked if she was drinking diet soda and she admitted to drinking a 32 litre bottle of diet soda every day and she was covered with this rash. I told her that it was probably from the soda and she said she was taking her to the doctor the next day and when I talked to them later she said the doctor told her the same thing I did. The girl stopped drinking the soda and her rash dissappeared.

Laughter is healthy: A new supermarket opened in Topeka Kansas. It has an automatic water mister to keep the produce fresh. Just before it goes on, you hear the sound of thunder and you experience the scent of fresh rain. When you pass the milk cases, you hear cows mooing and you experience the smell of fresh mown hay. In the meat department there is the aroma of charcoal grilled steaks with onions. When you approach the egg case, you hear hens clucking and cackling and the air is filled with with the pleasing aroma of bacon and eggs frying. The bakery department features the aroma of baked bread and cookies. I don't buy tolilet paper there anymore.

All about monosodium glutamate

Monosodium Glutamate

As I talked to people about MSG, the first question I got was, "What is MSG?" I explained to them that Monosodium Glutamate, MSG, is a chemical that is added to our food as a flavor enhancer. IT hides under many names such as, Hydrolyzed Vegetable and Plant Protein Extract, Sodium and Calcium Casienate, Yeast Extract, Textured Protein, Audolyzed Yeast. And MSG may appear in Malt Extract and Flavoring, Boullion, Broth or Stock and it may even appear in Flavorings listed as All-Natural. This really irritates me because you think that it is safe to eat when it says All Natural, and then when you eat it and you break out, you check the label again and it says that it contains MSG. Then it isn't all natural, is it? How can they get away with false advertisement? Making people sick that are allergic to this crap? It just is not right. For this to happen means that the food industry is guilty of hiding and diguising MSG in these foods.

Do you know that MSG, Monosodium Glutamate, is hydrolyzed with Hydrochloric Acid? Hydrochloric Acid is a very highly corrosive acid. The Steel Mills use Hydrochloric Acid to dip the steel into to remove the rust. Understand this, Glutamic Acid, is in food naturally but when it is processed or hydrolyzed, that is when it becomes Free Glutamic Acid, MSG. You should stay away from any hydrolyzed foods.

I think that most people do react to MSG but often do not realize that their swollen ankles, fingers and around the eyes could really be from consuming foods that contain MSG. I had this problem for some time, then when I had to stay away from MSG I noticed that my ankles didn't swell as much then I learned all about Sea salt and how it was much better for you then regular table salt that it contains a chemical to keep it from caking. Now my ankles mostly stay down to normal unless I happen to eat out a lot where they do not use sea salt. Also, most canned soups and gravies contain MSG, even if the label does not list MSG, it still might have it in there. I was getting ill when I ate the soup in one restaurant and I asked if they used it and they answered, "no", but when it happed again I asked to see the label and they were right it did not list it, then I found out that if it was not at least 5% of the product, they did not have to list it. That is crazy, because I got sick and I could have died if my throat had closed from it. I actually found out more about this at an Amish restaurant when one of the waitresses told me that the chemical had to be more than 5% of the product or they did not list it.

Another place they use MSG is in low fat hamburger, because by removing the fat it takes the flavor away so they put the flavor enhancer, MSG, into the defatted hamburg to make it taste good.

Another thing to be aware of is so called, "ALL Natural" beef and chicken flavoring. I buy it because it is easy to use if and when I need a little extra flavor. Make sure it says on the label that it does not contain MSG.

Love Chinese food

My problem did not stop with the chlorine or bleaching agents, I ate at chinese restaurant three times in one week and I ended up in the emergency room with swollen lips and tongue. They treated me for the allergic reaction then told me not to eat Chinese food because they use a chemical called MSG (monosodium glutamate) and apparently I was allergic to it. Then I soon learned that many other restaurants were using it too. And you get other reactions too like cramps and diarrhea, hives, headaches and dizziness etc. It was so frustrating when I had to ask at every restaurant that I planned on eating at, if they used MSG and if they filtered their water. I had a feeling that some restaurants would rather that I didn't eat there. One restaurant owner told me that they did not use MSG so I ate but I ended up in the hospital with a swollen tongue and lips and as I felt it was going into my throat I had to wake my husband to take me to the hospital. I came out of it okay but that was very scarey. I did find out later on that if an ingredient or additive is not at least 5% of the product, they do not have to list it. Therefore if the restaurant owner did not see the additive on the label, they didn't know that it was not in the product. That is not fair because someone that might be more allergic than I was could actually die before they got help. I have to carry 2 epi pens with me, and I still ask if they use MSG, but I also stick to eating at restaurants that use the least processed foods because they would be the least likely to contain any added ingredient or chemical. I found out too that the restaurants that used MSG were not the best restaurants to eat at. If they can take food and make it taste good without adding chemicals, they are the ones that know what they are doing. I learned to eat where they cooked from scratch and they knew that their food did not contain MSG.

Those chemicals in our food

When Splenda came out on the market, they told everyone that it was just sugar, without the calories and I decided to try it. I fixed a cup of tea; sat down and relaxed for the evening and drank my tea. As I watch the TV and sipped on my tea and had it about half gone, I began to get severe chest pains and I told my husband who had already dressed for bed that he better get changed into some clothes so he could take me to the hospital, but remembering the familiarity of the pain and thinking it could be an allergic reaction, being that was the first time I had used that product and with my track record with all the other additives that I was allergic to, I decided to take a couple minutes to check the internet to see what exactly this Splenda was made from. Yep, wouldn't you know, it had chlorine in it. I took an allergy pill and within a short time I could feel relief from the pain that was clutching my chest. Why, in heavens name, would anyone think it was okay to put chlorine in a product and say it was all natural and safe to eat? To me it is sweet poison. I knew right away what was happening to me because I had gone through similar feelings with the MSG. Like the MSG the chlorine had caused an allergic reaction (hives) in my esophagus, and it caused severe chest pain. I have not used Splenda, knowingly, since then, but I think I may have once when we went to a friends house and she had some lemon bars and not thinking that she may have used Splenda; I tried one and shortly I began to get chest pains and I took an allergy pill and it went away. Now I ask if they offer anything, "Did you use Splenda?" I am sure some people get pertubed with me when I ask what they used in this or that, but hey, it's my life and I would like to live awhile yet, and you can die from these chemicals and allergic reactions. I carry two epi pens and some medication for it. I check labels and if I am not sure if the food is safe, I just don't eat it. I often wonder how many other people have ended up in the hospital with severe chest pain from using products with Splenda in it, and after having tests and an EKG; they can't find anything wrong with them.

As I explained before what happened to me when I used Splenda, and I thought it was too good to be true that they could come up with a perfectly safe, calorie free "sugar" with no calories, can you imagine that? Another lady that I knew was having chest pains and she ended up in the hospital and after all the tests and an EKG, they could not find anything wrong with her heart. I had suggested before that she not use that stuff, but she continued. I suggested it to her after she started to get the chest pains and had all the tests; she finally quit using it and the last I talked to her about it, the pains had stopped. I do worry about the damage the "poison" may have done, hopefully it didn't leave it's mark. Other chemicals you want to watch out for are: Neotame, Alitame, AcelfameK are just a few of the manmade chemicals, non-nutritious, sugar substitutes that are found in almost all chewing gum, soft drinks, some yogurt products, baked goods and candy. It makes me shutter to think of these little kids growing up with all this poison in their bodies.

I guess the reason I may be so sensitive to these chemicals is that I was born and raised on a farm where we had all our own fresh fruits, vegetables, meat from the chickens, rabbits, pigs, milk from the cows. Now you can't even buy real milk. It's all homogenized and pasturized, except they have whole milk at the health food stores. I am going to try it sometime.

Natural Verses Chemicals

If you are having signs of an allergic reaction and you want to find out what you are allergic to, I feel the easiest way to start the testing of food is to begin eleminating any food that is not in it's natural state.(in case that you did not read my other blogs; signs of food allergies may be any kind of rash, hives, itching, swollen tongue or lips, unexplained headaches, maybe even chest pain or stomach pain, possibly blurred vision, especially if you have seen a doctor and the doctor cannot find anything wrong.)You should start out by eating all natural foods such as: apples, bananas, oranges, carrots, celery, lettuce, cabbage, any meats that are not processed such as: chicken, pork or beef prepared only with sea salt, and pepper. You can use an all natural seasoning like: bay leaf, parsley, onion, garlic or any powdered seasoning that you are sure that it is all natural. Stay away from low fat hamburger because it has MSG added to it to replace the flavor, after they remove the fat from it. (I was told this by a butcher at a grocry store.)He said by removing the fat, it also removed the flavor.

When my allergies started and i had no idea what I was allergic to I had to eliminate almost everything from my diet and I started out eating nothing but rice, potatoes, and raw vegetables. The chemical reaction imediately began to clear up and after a week of this I started to add eggs, all natural cheese and fresh meat that I cooked myself such as: chicken and beef and no processed foods of any kind.

As soon as I started to eat at restaurants again, I began to break out, even though I ate only natural foods like: mashed potatoes, with real butter, sour cream and salad with vinegar and oil, then I added hamburger, soup and coffee. I would break out at times then it would clear up, until I went on a bus trip and they stopped at an old working mill that ground wheat into flour. After they made the flour, they added a bleaching agent to make the flour extra white. I thought to myself that possibly this bleaching agent would be similar to the bleaching agent that they use in city water and at that rate I would be getting a double dose of the stuff when I would eat white bread(made from the bleached flour) and by drinking coffee, water and eating soup that was all made from the city water, which also had the bleaching agent in it. I eliminated all of these things from my diet and I cleared up. It was such a relief.I was doing pretty well by eliminating the chlorine or bleavhing agents from my diet; then I went swimming in a pool that was treated with chlorine and within hours I was covered with hives. You don't stop to think of what they put in the water, whether they add chlorine to sanitize swimming pools or to kill the bacteria in the water pipes that carry our drinking water or the bleaching agent they put in flour that we eat in every baked cake, cookie, pie, bread or muffin. If you do not have an allergic reaction to the bleaching agent, you don't think about it, although it can be doing a lot of harm to your system and damaging your health. I feel that every household should have a filter system on their drinking water. And I feel that all swimming pools should use a bromine soda or other natural or friendly type of purifier. I know that there are products on the market that are safe.I thought that my swimming days were over until I found out that the YMCA use a bromine soda type that I can tolerate without breaking out. Grandma's cookin' and bloggin'

I wish all the chemists and anyone that had anything to do with the making of all the chemicals that they added to our food supply, would have the reactions that I have had from these additives. I have been suffering for years because someone decided they could make money by mixing up these chemicals like: Aspartame, MSG, Splenda, Sucralose, Acelfame K, Neotame, Cyclamate, Alitame and who knows how many others, then they put this crap in our food. And the worst thing is that we don't know it's there until we have a reaction to it. Some people do not know they have an allergy to these chemicals until they have areaction and they don't what it is. They may ignore it until it becomes serious.

My first experience with allergies was when I had a terrible rash on my stomach and trunk area. I tried everything to get rid of it but when everything seemed to fail and I got worse, I actually had to use a sanitary napkin to soak up the seeping eruptions. Thinking it was poison ivy, I went to the doctor and his first thought was the same as mine and he gave me a shot for poison ivy. The shot did absolutely nothing for my problem. I was then sent to a skin specialist and he told me that I had a very serious allergic reaction to something and I would have to go through the process of elimination to find out what I was allergic to. The process of eliminationis not the funnest or easiest thing to go through. You have to write down everything you eat or drink and if the item you ate has several ingredients, you have to write them down too. It's not easy but if you are in misery like i was you will do whatever it takes to find out what you are allergic to and what is causing you all this trouble and at the same time you will be eating healthy.

It took me some time to figure out what was causing all the itching, hives, chest pains, cramps and diarrhea and of course all the moles that I could do without.I not only kept track of what I ate and if I had a reaction but I also kept track of the type of reaction that I had. I was able to tell from the reaction like the hives and rash that would appear on the top of my hands and arms after I ate something that contained Aspartame. I have severe chest pain from hives in my esophagus when I eat something with Splenda or Sucralose in it. Splenda and Sucralose have chlorine in it and I am very allergic to Chlorine. MSG, (monosodium glutamate)gives me cramps and diarrhea, hives and swollen lips and tongue, then comes the High Fructose Corn Syrup, that caused a very painful rash under my arms, breasts and trunk area. You try to stay away from food that contains these chemicals but I found out the hard way that if the chemical is not at least 5% of the product, they do not have to list it.
