Which is better - butter or margarine?

Eat for the health of it.

I guess if you fail you just try-try again. When the manufacturer of margarine failed at their attempt to fatten the turkeys with margarine, they came up with a new idea. The turkeys died instead of getting fattened up, like the plans were, so they came up with the idea to add some food color to the white substance that looked like a big grease ball. They put the gunk in a plastic bag and added a yellow coloring egg, it looked similar to a very small football and it was plastic. I remember it very well, at first you had to get the tiny plastic container and you would pinch it until it would burst inside of the plastic bag. The orange coloring would ooze out and we used to take turns squeezing the bag until you got a yellow looking "butter" we didn't know any better. But we did know it didn't taste as good as the real butter that grandma used to bring us that she made from the cream she got from her cow. And I remember the cows name was Helen.

Do you know the difference between butter and margarine? Be sure to read all the way to the end. Butter surely tastes better, butter has been around for many years and it is all natural, butter is slightly higher in saturated fats, eating butter helps to absorb other nutritional foods.

Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over the same amount of butter. Margarine is high in trans fatty acids, increases risk of cancer, lowers the quality of breast milk if you are nursing, decreases immune response, decreases insulin response, and to top it all is the disturbing fact that margarine is only one MOLECULE away from being a piece of PLASTIC...Margarine is hydrogenated, this means hydrogen is added, changing the molecular structure of the substance.

I'll tell you, that will keep me from eating it, plus I don't like the taste of it. Especially after you have eaten real butter all your life. The few times when my parents had to buy it, when we ran out of grandma's, we would spread it on our bread and the sprinkle sugar on it so it would taste good.

If you want to try something, purchase a tub of margaine and set it in your garage, within a few days you will notice that there are no flies and it doesn't rot or smell bad. How about melting a little tupperware and spread it on your bread? It would probably taste the same.

Laughter is healthy: Female Carpenters:

Becky and Sally were doing some carpentry work. Becky was nailing down house siding, she would reach in her nail pouch and pull out a nail. Sally noticed that sometimes she would pound the nail in the siding then sometimes she would give the nail a toss over her shoulder. Sally figured it was worth looking into, and asked, " Becky, why are you throwing away some of those nails?" Becky explained,"When I pull the nails out of my pouch, half of them have the head on the wrong end and I throw them away." Sally got upset and yelled," You moron, those nails aren't defective, they are for the other side of the house."
