Isn't anyone listening?

Eat for the health of it.

I am so fired up about this HFCS. I hear about how fat the people in the US are getting. HELLOOOO!!! Hasn't anyone heard that the soft drink industry, which uses HFCS as their primary sweetener in soft drinks, has estimated that the consumption of soft drinks per person, per year, in the US, is 41 gallons??

Teenagers and young children are amoung the largest consumers. Teenage boys drink, on an average, three or more cans a day, and 10% drink more than five cans a day. Girls drink an averave of 2 or more cans a day, and 10% drink more than 5 cans a day.A 20 ounce bottle of soda contains 0 fats, 0 protein but a whopping 67 grams of carbohydrates, mostly from the High Fructose Corn Syrup. No wonder that our children are getting so obese. And if they were to take a survey of the children that are thin, they would say that they do not drink very much soda. That would give them an idea at least.

There are vending machines everywhere, and any school that I have been in has them, and they had them when I went to school, but I think they should have them for safe drinks only, like juices, water drinks and any all natural drinks that are healthy. Parents should watch this because that HFCS is very bad for the pancreas and that can cause diabetes. And just take a look how fast diabetes is growing in this country.
