A caution to food standards

Eat for the health of it.

Have you ever wondered why sometimes your child seems to be a little more hyperactive? It has often been questioned as to whether food coloring and other additives like sodium bezoate was causing hyperactivity. A six week study was done in other countries.
Kids were divided into groups and they were fed foods and drinks with sodium benzoate, artificial food coloring and other food additives. These concoctions were similer to most commercially available drinks, and the amounts of additives were also similer. The results of the study showed that children that were given the food with the additives were more hyper than the ones without. They also showed a shorter attention span. Other studies have shown that sodium benzoate has been linked to cell damage and it increases the risk of cancer.
Sodium bezoate is found in many drinks. Another bad additive is food coloring. And if you take a good look at these little round candy coated buttons, they must use a lot of coloring to make them that brillient. I don't think they would have to make them that bright and I am sure the kids would eat them any color they are.
You noticed that these studies were done in other countries, maybe they have done them here to but the ones that I read about were done in England and the British governments Food Standards Agency.

How do these people sleep at night when they can knowingly add cancer causing agents and other health problems caused by these agents in our food?

Laughter is healthy: The bagpiper:

A bagpiper was asked to play at the funeral of a homeless man who had no family and no friends. The funeral was to be held at the cemetery in a remote countryside and this man would be the first to be laid to rest there.
He was not familiar with the backwoods area. He became lost and being a tipical man as he was, would not ask for directions. He came upon a crew that was working, digging up the sod and he realized he was late because the hearse was gone and the cement vault was already in place. The man appologized for his tardiness and explained why he was late. He stepped to the edge of the dug up area and began to play. The men gathered around while he played four songs. The men were so taken in by the beauty of the pipe playing, they began to weep.

As he opened his car door to put his bagpipes in the back seat, he heard the men talking," Sweet Jeezuz, Mary and Joseph, I ain't never seen nothin' like that before and I have been putting in septic tanks for twenty years."
